The four-year, pre-professional, undergraduate degree is a 126-credit-hour program culminating in a Bachelor of Science in Architecture (B.S. Arch.). The pre-professional architecture program introduces the student to the fundamentals of design. Course work weaves liberal arts courses with architectural design curriculum; architectural history through the ages; current technological advances in architecture; and the confluence of sustainable design, urbanism, and social justice through design.

A dual degree program is one in which the student simultaneously pursues courses of study in two disciplines leading to degrees in both. The student is required to satisfy the required professional courses of each of the disciplines being undertaken. The remaining non-required program courses and the elective requirements of the two disciplines are combined in such a way as to satisfy the requirements of the schools concerned and the University as a whole.

The undergraduate program leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science prepares students for direct entry into a career in computer science or further studies at the graduate level. Our program is tailored to prepare the students professionally to face the challenges of the rapidly evolving area of computer science. In addition, they are also equipped to contribute to and service the needs of a society that requires critical thinking and dedication to life-long learning.

Our Accounting program is designed to prepare students for a career in the public accounting profession, private industry, government, and the nonprofit sector. What sets this accounting program apart is the emphasis placed on learning and gaining real-world experience from the accounting faculty who guide students in their accounting careers. All faculty are CPAs and have considerable work experience in the private or public sector.

The B.S. program in Psychological and Brain Sciences provides a strong foundation in the cognitive and neurological bases of behavior and a rigorous plan of math and natural sciences. The B.S. degree is an appealing option for students who are interested in following a pre-med or some other health sciences tracks or pursuing a neuroscience-related field.

The Department of Chemistry offers a B.S. in Chemistry certified by the American Chemical Society. This program offers students a rigorous course of study in the five traditional areas of chemistry (analytical, biochemistry, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry). The program is designed to develop students' knowledge of chemistry while building skills in experimental techniques and scientific communication.

Biomedical Engineering (BME) is a multidisciplinary field that incorporates engineering and science concepts to solve many problems in human health and medicine.

The study of physics is an attempt to understand the physical universe in as fundamental a way as possible. It examines the mathematical relationships that exist among the physical entities of the world, and, in particular, tries to discover the general principles that govern the behavior of the macroscopic and microscopic universe. At the core of the inquiry are the questions, "What is the world made of?" and "How does it work?" An undergraduate major in physics provides students with an education that prepares them for a variety of entry-level positions, as well as for postgraduate study in physics and allied fields.

This demanding degree program is designed to provide honors students with proficiency in economic theory and policymaking as related to the workings of the international global economy while providing a solid financial background. Students enrolled in this program are required to maintain a GPA of 3.5 or above, and to meet the academic criteria of honors students. This is honors major; students may or may not be also part of the University's Honors Program.

This area focuses on the essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes required of leaders in a business. Strategy examines the structural forces that shape competition in a market and the various business models that an enterprise may implement to create value for its stakeholders. Management focuses on the allocation of resources and methods of decision-making within the enterprise to optimize value for stakeholders. Operations explores how processes, procedures, and systems interact within an enterprise to fulfill customer promises and secure value for stakeholders.

Public Health is a science concerned with protecting and promoting health in individuals, families, communities and entire populations through such measures as disease prevention, promotion of healthy lifestyles, and research on epidemics and infectious diseases. The Public Health Program at Gallaudet offers a major (Bachelor of Science in Public Health - BSPH) which prepares students to work in a number of health-related fields or enter graduate or professional school. A minor in Public Health is also offered and is designed to increase awareness and understanding of public health principles among students preparing for careers in other fields such as, but not limited to, physical education and recreation, social work, business, medicine, health education or psychology.
