The California State University, Fresno, School of Nursing offers opportunities for advanced placement in the baccalaureate program for applicants who have earned an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license. As a Software Engineering major at Fresno Pacific University, you’ll immerse yourself in the world of computing technology as you learn to develop products and solve problems to meet the needs of the Central Valley and beyond. You’ll learn programming, software design, and ethics in computing from faculty who have experience working for Chrysler, Motorola, Microsoft, and other major technology companies.

The Accelerated Bachelor’s in Business Administration (ABBA) provides students with an opportunity to complete the last two years of their degree within 15 months. The ABBA program was designed as a Special Option with a focus on general knowledge in Business Administration. The courses are taught in a cohort format on the Fresno State and Visalia Campus (students go through all the courses with the same group of students from start to finish) on two weekday evenings with additional alternate Saturdays. Due to the nature of this program, seating is limited.

The Department of Plant Science at California State University, Fresno is located in the nation's most productive agricultural valley. Our graduates acquire a sound academic background that is deeply rooted in field-based experience in the broad array of disciplines within Plant Science. These include pomology, olericulture, agronomy, environmental horticulture, soils, irrigation, economic entomology, plant pathology, weed science, and mechanized agriculture. Our faculty hold advanced degrees in these disciplines and regularly integrates this knowledge directly in the field and laboratories. The university's 1000-acre agricultural field laboratory, greenhouse facilities, and the Jordan Agricultural Research Center are home to cutting-edge horticultural and agronomic practices, using the latest innovations in crop production, mechanization, irrigation, soil fertility, propagation, and pest management.

The Electrical Engineering course of study broadly prepares the graduate for professional practice or graduate studies while offering several areas of emphasis. Electrical engineers design and develop electronic circuits, equipment, and systems in the areas of electromagnetics, communications and control, computers and digital systems, physical electronics and optics, power systems and energy conversion, and control systems.

Geology is an interdisciplinary discipline, integrating principles of physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics, as well as quantitative and critical thinking skills, to address geological and environmental challenges. The Bachelor of Science in Geology prepares students for employment in petroleum geology, mineral exploration, land-use planning, environmental assessment, hydrology, and engineering geology, or for teaching earth science or physical science at the secondary level.

The department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Administration for individuals who are committed to the recreation and leisure services profession. The major in Recreation Administration prepares students with the knowledge, understanding, ability, and skill necessary to successfully function in professional positions related to the major.

The School of Nursing offers a program that leads to a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN). The degree requires a minimum of 120-semester units, and the nursing curriculum sequence covers five semesters. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and the California Public Health Nurse Certificate. The program is accredited by the California Board of Registered Nursing and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
