Our program emphasizes the responsibility of architects for their impact on the environment. Our graduates will contribute to a new understanding of design based on an ethically responsible approach towards the environment and thus, will become involved actively in the creation of a better world. We envision a future where our graduates lead the way to developing more environmentally resilient ways of designing not only in Turkey but also all around the world.

The Department is devoted to the pursuit and application of knowledge for the social, cultural, economic, scientific, and technological development of mankind and our society through achievements in teaching, research and community service that are of highest international standards.

Biology Program offers courses on the biological, chemical, physical and mathematical principles governing the behaviour of living matter at the molecular, cellular, organism and population levels. Fundamental subjects as molecular and cellular biology, genetics, physiology, microbiology, biochemistry, plant biology and ecology are supplemented by a wide variety of elective courses to prepare the students for careers in research and teaching in university, and for various positions in food and drug industry, agriculture, forestry, and public health. The Biology program allows students to choose an option among molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, and environmental biology fields in their junior year.

The purpose of the program is to train students to take part in studies involving extensive observation and experimentation techniques. Collection of data on social, economic, public and other systems as well as in laboratory experiments enables them to analyse and make inferences about the behavior of such systems.

One of the main objectives in the undergraduate program is to offer a well balanced education in mathematics. With the purpose of maximizing flexibility and the number of options for a well rounded development of the student the undergraduate curriculum contains a large number of electives.

The objectives of the department are: To develop students` basic knowledge of physics in order that they can understand the rules governing the universe. To enhance students` ability and motivation to solve unsolved problems in various fields. To give broader background in math and science in order to provide a basis for branching out into variety of areas ranging from the nano-scale high-tech area to space physics. To prepare students to become a research scientist to make a carrier of physics and also work as a professor in a university, or to work as an applier of physics in almost all fields where science and technology have an important impact

The objectives of the department are to supply an overall and comprehensive outlook on economic issues, to develop analytical skills to understand macroeconomic and microeconomic issues, to provide mathematical and statistical methods in analysing economic phenomena, to improve research skills for analysing economic and social phenomena.

The Department of Psychology has three main aims. First of all, to offer courses for the undergraduate and graduate programs in psychology; secondly, to offer students from other departments a minor degree in psychology; and finally, to offer courses to students of other departments to broaden their understanding of psychological phenomena.

The main objective of the Chemistry Department is to provide students with a comprehensive education in chemistry, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and expertise required to pursue careers as chemists. This education encompasses a deep understanding of the fundamental principles of chemistry, as well as practical laboratory experience and critical thinking skills necessary for conducting research and development studies.

Chemical Engineering education emphasizes the development of a deep understanding of the fundamental principles of chemistry, thermodynamics, transport phenomena, and reaction engineering. Students learn to apply these principles to analyze and solve complex engineering problems in areas such as chemical process design, kinetics, and process control.

The philosophy of the Business Administration Department centers on the understanding that business is a dynamic and multifaceted field that plays a pivotal role in driving economic growth, fostering innovation, and shaping societies. At its core, the department is dedicated to preparing students to navigate and excel in the ever-evolving landscape of business.

The basic undergraduate program is designed to equip the student with basic physicomathematical sciences in the first year; with basic engineering courses in the second year, and with the aerospace engineering courses in the remaining two years. The program comprises various summer training programs and laboratory work at every level of the education. Successful students are awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Aerospace Engineering at the end of the program.

The department offers a comprehensive undergraduate program designed to combine a thorough understanding of the discipline of international relations, with an increasing emphasis on specialized and in-depth knowledge demanded by developments in the field. Aiming to provide an overall understanding for the study of international relations as an inter-disciplinary subject, the program includes core courses in International Relations Theory, International Law, International Political Economy, International Organization, Foreign Policy Analysis and regional studies.

The department of Architecture draws its inspiration on a fusion of the sciences, technology and the arts. Students are trained in the professional knowledge and skills needed by the successful architects of tomorrow, possessing advanced skills in design, sensitive to the needs of the human race, aware of the environment, and demonstrating a researching, questioning and reflective approach.
