Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Program addresses leading-edge science and technology both with its wide curriculum and research expertise.

At the undergraduate level the Department aims particularly to equip students with up-to-date knowledge and practical skills required for K-12 computer teachers. Computer laboratories are available to enrich the theoretical background of prospective teachers. An important objective given a high priority by the Department is to provide its teacher graduates with relevant contemporary information, training, and prerequisite skills to enable them to guide their students to the year 2000 and beyond.

Materials Science and Nanoengineering is an interdisciplinary field that is closely related to diverse disciplines such as physics, chemistry, biology, or chemical and mechanical engineering and mechanics. Materials Science and Nanoengineering (MAT) aims at furnishing its students with the theoretical and practical skills necessary for the understanding, design, and application of advanced technology materials.

Over the past few years, because of the growing use of computers in every aspect of society, the need for qualified software engineers has grown drastically.

Mechatronics is the design methodology of systems based on multidisciplinary engineering approaches. Most modern systems such as consumer products, manufacturing machines, or even exotic measurement devices must be designed to comply with several constraints at the same time, including complex behavior, mechanical and electronic precision, low cost, low power consumption, environmental friendliness, networked operation, smart interaction with users and work in uncertain environments.

With the increasing use of computers in daily life, the importance of computer software is also increasing day by day. In line with these developments, our students are trained as professionals who are able to develop high-quality and cost-effective computer software.

The Electronics Engineering (EE) program is designed to provide the theoretical fundamentals and comprehensive technological background for leading-edge work in this rapidly developing field. The program offers a balanced set of courses in the areas of electronic devices and circuits, optics, communication systems, networks, information, and signal processing, from which our students are able to select their courses according to their own interests.

Our students are trained as knowledgeable computer engineers, experienced in the field of modern information systems, in the design and application of hardware/software for computer-controlled devices, the application of both computer science, and engineering in the industry.
