The Bachelor of Science in Logistics at GUtech is tailored to the requirements of the Sultanate of Oman and the region, yet draws on state-of-art expertise accumulated at RWTH Aachen University. A strong emphasis of the program is placed on the employability of GUtech’s graduates.

In order to be visible internationally and regionally, tourist destinations in Oman must compete internationally and ensure they meet current and future needs of tourists. This requires more emphasis on customer orientation and sophisticated marketing practices and management. Marketing tourism is different from marketing most other products, as what is being marketed is an experience.

The BSc Marketing program focus on marketing; however, it is rooted in a broader study of business and management. Students will have the opportunity to specialize in specific areas of marketing (including digital marketing and branding) while gaining a solid foundation in the main areas of business and management.

The BSc Business and Management program The Business and Management degree program would equip students with a broad knowledge and appreciation of issues faced in the world of business. It aims to equip students to become competent, solution-oriented, and effective communicators as business and management practitioners.

The BSc in Logistics with Transport Management is one of the few logistics degrees which combines technological knowledge with business and management in order to meet the needs of the logistics industry. Upon successful completion of the program, students earn a degree from Muscat University.

This program offers students the opportunity to gain a strong foundation across the main areas of business and management. It also strongly stresses employability to ensure that graduates are equipped with the required skills for a competitive and dynamic job market. The program covers core areas of strategy, accounting, marketing, and organizational behavior.

Computer Science (CS) is concerned with all scientific and practical aspects of information processing and computing. Computer science students learn the theoretical foundations of the field together with practical techniques for their implementation, in particular, the design of computational systems.

The tourism industry is currently one of the largest service industries in the world; employing approximately 10% of the global labor force and contributing to about 6% of world exports. Tourism shares the characteristics of many international service industries; for the Omani economy, however, it is unique as it offers the basis for a viable economic diversification and employment creation on the one side, and it is highly competitive due to Oman’s unique tourism product on the other. This programme will, therefore, equip you with business knowledge and skills focusing on this vital service sector. The program will also consider tourism via the prism of sustainability; providing the skills and the knowledge that can ensure that growth of this sector will not be at the expense of the society or the environment but rather enriching them.

This is a four year degree program for those who want to gain knowledge in quantity surveying and cost management to pursue a career in industry or continue in graduate studies. The degree is awarded after the successful completion of 125 credit hours of undergraduate work listed in the curriculum below, including compulsory industrial internship and project study courses.

Interior design is the process of conceptualizing space and creating commodious and expressive interior environments, which enhance the quality of life and contribute to the health, safety and welfare of society. The practice of interior design integrates the aesthetic and the cultural domains with the functional and the technical ones to provide design solutions that respond to human needs.

The objective of the Bachelor Program in Aviation Management is to prepare students for jobs in the management of airlines and their operations at airports, ranging from ground operations and passenger services to flight despatch. Students will also learn about terminal management, ramp operations, and airline marketing. In the final year, students gain work experience in an internship with airlines and work on a final project related to their studies.

The program reflects the growing importance of transport and logistics management within the world of business. It has been designed with the aid of business educators and industry leaders, and in line with major expansions and developments of transport infrastructure in the country: sea, road, rail, and air.
