38 Materials Science BSc Degree Programs

At the Faculty of Chemical Technology, students may focus their professional profiles towards specialized fields: the production and properties of metals, glass, or ceramic materials; plastics and rubber; biocompatible materials; and nano- or submicron-scale structured materials. Students can also focus on a more theoretical program exceeding the scope of the foundational program. During the course of the program, students choose one of three specializations offered.

In the frame of the high-standard full-time Materials Engineering BSc program, students are not only provided with a thorough practical foundation but emphasis is also put on improving their engineering skills through the Faculty’s active and extensive relations with top companies.

Alumni of the Materials Design and Logistics degree program of a general-academic profile know engineering materials (metal, ceramic, polymer, and composite materials) combined with logistics knowledge. Alumni are familiar with materials manufacturing/processing technologies, the relationship between their structure and properties, and testing methods.

This programme offers its students a unique blend of engineering, innovation, and advanced technology expertise. Students gain essential knowledge in developing high-value materials for industries such as power engineering, biomedicine, electronics, and construction, while also exploring sustainable cultural heritage preservation.

Are you passionate about minimizing our collective environmental footprint and maximizing sustainability? In the Renewable Materials Science program, students learn about the science of turning trees, plants, and grasses into viable materials for construction, packaging, and more.

Sustainability, function, safety, design and durability - the right choice of materials makes the difference! Whether it's ultra-modern aircraft and car parts, extremely durable sports equipment, elegant consumer goods or environmentally friendly food packaging - which materials are ideal? How do you manufacture such products and reliably test their quality? How do you design sustainable, resource-efficient production processes? In this practice-oriented course, you will delve deeply into these fascinating questions. You will put your knowledge of chemistry and physics into practice, develop innovative metals, composite materials and plastics and shape the future of sustainable production.
