The BSc Sustainable Maritime Operations qualification is aimed at those who wish to gain a full Bachelor’s degree, possibly upgrading from another previous achievement such as a Foundation degree.

Studying the BSc (Hons), you will gain knowledge of the latest methods, concepts and theories relevant to the complexities of the maritime industry in the modern 21st Century and equipping you with a broad understanding of the challenges of current marine affairs. You will develop skills in gathering, analysing, evaluating, and interpreting data in sustainable maritime operations.

By choosing to study in the field of port technology management, you will learn and be able to manage port technologies, use computerized IT systems, solve logistics problems, be able to implement the ideas of a smart autonomous port or e-logistics, and develop strategic innovations - in this way you will contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the port and its development process.

This is a unique study program, upon completion of which you will acquire knowledge of both marine transport engineering and information technology. In the contemporay world with the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, IT knowledge is critical to implementing and adapting innovations in transportation, manufacturing, and other human activities. These studies will help you keep pace with the latest technologies and innovations.

This program does not follow the usual programme requirements for major and minor disciplines but instead have prescribed sets of courses, across discipline boundaries.

Upon graduation, students shall receive additional Professional Qualification Examination (PQE) award from the Charted Institute of Logistic and Transport Malaysia (CILTM) and a membership certificate of MILT.
