Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) is a biology and chemistry-based degree that prepares students for a challenging and rewarding medical career. The results of the analyzation and evaluation aid physicians and other health professionals in both the diagnosis of disease and the management of health.

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders offers a four-year undergraduate program of study in the field of Speech Pathology and Audiology. Impairments of communication – speech, language, and hearing disorders – are among the most prevalent of human disabilities.

This is an accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program for those who already have a bachelor of art or a bachelor of science degree and want to become a nurse. Often adults graduate from college, begin a career, and then decide that they want to make a career change and become a nurse. This program was designed for those who have met prerequisite courses and want to devote the next year and a half to full-time, intense study.

The Bachelor of Science in Psychology at WLU aligns with the guidelines set by the American Psychological Association. Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behavior. Psychology uses the scientific method to study diverse topics such as development, personality,  cognition, perception, memory, language, intelligence, motivation, emotions, psychological disorders, and how humans relate to, interact, and influence each other individually and in groups.

Creative Arts Therapy (CAT) is a field of psychology that relies on art and creativity to explore trauma and seek healing for a wide range of individuals. The purpose of art therapy is to express inner thoughts and feelings and to help the client connect to self and others.
