Digital Media Design offers students a unique degree in Visual Communication Design, combining many aspects of art and digital media with technical training in video, photography, graphic design, audio production, web design, new media, and animation.

Graphic Design is about much more than just designing logos. At WLU, we teach students how to engage in design thinking and user experience to create meaningful and effective design solutions. We also encourage a broad range of visual formats and levels of expression including poster design, publication and zine design, packaging, app design, motion graphics, and branding.

Design plays a crucial role in shaping the world around us, from the spaces we inhabit to the products we use every day. Students in our program learn the business, history, psychology, and philosophy of design, and they create their original work. Fashion Design at Radford University provides students the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to express their creativity and realize individual design visions.

Trevecca’s game design and development concentration is available to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in information technology, graphic design, or computer science. This specialized track allows you to use cutting-edge technologies to design creative solutions and programs based on game theory, and it equips you to apply your skills in a variety of settings.

The Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design Technology (CGT) offers two concentrations: Technical Design (TEDS) and User Experience (UEXP). The TEDS concentration focuses on architectural, mechanical, product, and packaging designs. Sstudents in TEDS will be able to help companies and organizations visualize data, generate engineering drawings or graphics, design digital prototypes and quality products, and create efficient architectural structures. Whereas, the UEXP concentration emphasizes true user experience applied to website development, video game creation, 2D and 3D animations, multimedia production, virtual reality (VR), publishing design, logo design, typography, and to create content for marketing or communication. The department labs are equipped with PC and Mac computers, application software, SLR digital cameras, wide format printers, and a package plotter.

Trevecca’s user experience (UX) design program is a concentration track available to you if you are pursuing your Bachelor of Science in information systems or graphic design. This program equips you to create clear and cutting-edge user interface solutions which lead to enhanced user satisfaction. Project-based curriculum leads to a professional portfolio which allows you to easily demonstrate your work to potential employers.

The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology degree program is a management-oriented technical curriculum built upon a balanced program of studies drawn from a variety of disciplines related to manufacturing technology.

The Graphic Design concentration within the Visual Communication degree program focuses on the art of communication using images and typography within a wide range of print and digital applications and settings. It exists at the convergence of business and creativity.

TU’s web design program is designed to provide students the practical knowledge and skills to build robust websites and web applications for desktop computers and mobile devices such as phones and tablets. The program was designed with the specific intent of producing students with strong skills in UX and visual design, marketing and programming. Students will learn to follow industry protocols and to use modern programming languages, database structures and frameworks to create, deploy and maintain websites and applications.
