The Environmental Engineer from the Putumayo Technological Institute: Plans and develops alternatives that promote the sustainable use of natural resources. Designs technical measures for the prevention and control of contamination and deterioration of water, soil and air resources, which are socially, technically, economically and environmentally viable. Identify and assess environmental impacts caused by development projects and human activities. Guides clean and eco-efficient production processes. Plans, designs and manages works and projects such as: treatment and distribution of drinking water; collection, treatment and disposal of wastewater; air pollution control systems and solid waste collection, transport and final disposal. Apply environmental regulations according to the Colombian economic reality.
