This track is designed to prepare students for athletic training and chiropractic graduate schools. Upon graduation, students will have an in-depth understanding of biomechanics, functional anatomy, nutrition, and movement science. Chiropractors care for patients with health problems in the neuromusculoskeletal system, and athletic trainers offer injury prevention and rehabilitation, wellness promotion, and emergent care services.

Combining practical skill training and theoretical classroom teaching, the Department of Wellness prepares students for a career in health. Faculty strive to train students in whole person care. Graduates from the Department of Wellness are prepared to pursue opportunities in the profession of allied health.

Our other four Diploma Course disciplines combine to create the BSc Degree in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine. In addition to the Diploma attendance/home study, you will be required to pay University fees, complete additional examinations and submit a dissertation in an approved area of medicine/illness/dysfunction/TCM.

The Bachelor of Science in Integrative Health Sciences (BSiHS) program features four core threads: integrative health sciences, natural sciences, social sciences, and critical thinking. The integrative health sciences thread focuses on prevention and wellness, exercise science, mind-body medicine, nutrition, and botanical medicine.

Chinese medicine is over thousands of years old. As a student in the Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Health and Wellness program at the Lewis College of Human Sciences, you will develop your understanding of how lifestyle choices impact health over time, and how to design individualized programs to promote healthy living, most often related to nutrition, exercise, and tobacco and alcohol use. You’ll also become a patient advocate, educating patients on how to steer through the daunting bureaucracy of health care services.

Respiratory Therapy is a health care profession dedicated to the care, management, and life support of individuals having deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the cardiopulmonary system. Respiratory Therapists are experts in the use of therapeutic and diagnostic aids to respiration.
