Candidates who do not comply with the minimum admission requirements of programs in the Departments of Biological and Agricultural Sciences, may be considered for admission to the BSc – Extended program for the Biological and Agricultural Sciences, which requires an additional year of study.

The BSc program in Agricultural Engineering aims to train agricultural engineers capable of realizing production, leadership, controlling and organizational work in agricultural companies.

They recognize the roles to be filled in the food chain. In their work, they seek and prioritize solutions that promote the health of society and individuals, while also protecting the environment. They are prepared to continue their studies for a master's degree.

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) - Agricultural Education (Secondary Education) - The curriculum in secondary education is for students seeking careers teaching agriscience in middle and high schools. Graduates are eligible to apply for the agricultural education teaching license in North Carolina. Students majoring in this concentration will also have to be admitted to the College of Education’s Teacher Education Program at N.C. A&T, and must earn a minimum grade point average of 2.8, in addition to other program requirements. Please ask your advisor for more details and information about these requirements.

The Agricultural Technology degree program enables students to tackle agricultural challenges through innovation and sustainability. They can reduce environmental impacts and protect biodiversity through environmentally friendly practices.

The Environmental Studies major combines courses (curriculum) from several disciplines, which enables you to develop your creativity, analytical skills and imagination by discovering alternative ways of applying science and your communication and leadership skills to environmental problem solving. Students in the Forest Ecosystem Science program are drawn to natural and managed forest environments with a blend of curiosity and a sense of responsibility. They seek both to understand forest ecosystems and apply their knowledge to sustain forests and their benefits for future generations.

The forest health major prepares biology-oriented students that deal with maintaining the health of forest resources. The major is distinct from those in the Department of Forest and Natural Resources Management and its forest ecosystem science, which provides skills in forest management.
