The Doctoral School of Biology and Spotbiology provides PhD in Biology and Sport Biology in a wide range of fields of biology and sports biology including genetics, microbiology, plant biology, ecology, regulatory biology, fitness, stress, sport, and immune system. Excellently equipped laboratories are available in the biology departments and at the Szentágothai Research Center of UP, as well as at the Balaton Limnological Institute. Through international contacts, we give the opportunity to our Ph.D. students mobility.

MSc in Biology line offers full 2-year education in biology. The study program for full-time training offers a complete education in biology, with special directions particularly in molecular biology (neurobiology, genetics, microbiology), and animal and plant ecology. Special directions from the second semester offer more laboratory practice in molecular biology or more courses in ecology. The basic subjects are presented in lectures, seminars, and laboratory or fieldwork. The program provides a wider view of the related scientific fields (biophysics, biological chemistry). The students will familiarize their knowledge with the most modern instrumentation in our new research center. It covers all aspects of education, research, and innovation in the fields of biomedical, natural, and environmental sciences. It also provides an opportunity to join the research work in 22 different research groups operating in the building.

International Studies Center University of Pécs Medical School offers a complex and integrated preparatory program in English for Biology that meets the language development needs of international students and facilitate their integration into the context of higher education in Hungary. International programs at Hungarian universities minimally require B2 (upper-intermediate) language level and you have to be knowledgeable in your chosen field of studies for admission.

The Biology MSc Program is a 4-semester-long (2 academic years) multidisciplinary Programme offered by the Biology Departments of the Faculty of Science and Informatics, University of Szeged, Szeged, Hungary. Our Programme is open to qualified students who hold a Bachelor’s degree.

The aim of the BSc in Biology is to train our students to become specialists who are able to analyze the most important relationships in biology, who know the most important research methods in this field, and who are able to plan, solve and evaluate biological tasks.

The BSc in Biology line offers a full 3-year education in biology. The study program for the full-time training offers a complete education in biology, with special directions, particularly in neurobiology, genetics, microbiology, animal and plant ecology, botany, zoology, and plant physiology. Special directions in the second year have two modules: infra-individual (means more laboratory practice and cellular biology) and supra-individual (means more ecology) courses.

The programme provides a sound theoretical basis for the students' future careers, combining it with hands-on practice. The training programme includes an internship at a multinational or local company or non-profit organisation.

This 90-credit MSc in Biosystems Engineering is a postgraduate programme delivered at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences—typical overall duration: 3 semesters (typical). The programme blends technical, technological, data-science, management and economic training with agricultural disciplines.

Aquincum Institute of Technology offers foundational courses, like Data Mining and the Structure and Dynamics of Complex Networks. Students will learn about how to apply these theories to the complex task of decoding the human genome, and will become familiar with the IT challenges in computational biology and personalized medicine.

The BSc in Biochemical Engineering trains bioengineers to design, operate and manage biotechnological systems, perform analytical testing and quality control, and interpret technical documentation in at least one foreign language. The full-time programme runs for 7 semesters (210 ECTS) and includes practical laboratory training and a mandatory professional internship.

A practice-oriented, 120-credit master's programme (4 semesters / 2 years) that trains graduates to apply modern biotechnological methods in crop production, horticulture, and animal husbandry. Graduates are prepared for roles in research, design & development, and management, and may continue to doctoral studies.
