Students can learn a new language and have access to study abroad programs, and international internship and career opportunities.Networking opportunities are available with field professionals, guest speakers, and international faculty.Daemen is a corporate member of the Buffalo World Trade Association and an educational partner of the National Association of Small Business International Trade Educators, which provides opportunities to obtain professional certifications.

Students embark on field trips to explore the operations of professional sport franchises and college athletics programs.Internship experiences supplement classroom knowledge, build professional interpersonal skills, develop liaisons with the business community, and provide concrete, resume building work experience. Students have daily interaction with our NCAA Division II Athletics Department.One-on-one career coaching guides students to prepare for an internship and supports them in the job search process.

Our Society for Human Resource Management’s aligned curriculum prepares students for the most important topics among business leaders today, including diversity ethics, and global management.Students are connected to human resources professionals currently working in the field through experienced faculty and shared events with the Buffalo Niagara Human Resource Association. Students participate in the Society for Human Resource Management affiliated student club in which they plan and host human resources related events.

Students explore marketing through coursework, experiential projects, internships, and extracurricular activities.Particular emphasis is placed on diversity, ethics, and international issues. Curriculum teaches students to implement effective advertising, sales and communications strategies.Courses cover a range of disciplines, including advertising, sales, promotions and digital communication, branding and design, supply chains and distribution, and marketing research and data analysis.Students gain skills in several aspects of marketing, from business management and leadership principles to presentation and public speaking techniques.

Students participate in events and competitions offered by the Association for Supply Chain Management and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.Graduates are prepared to pursue professional certifications in logistics and project and operations managementStudents learn the inside story on operations advantages used by Amazon and other successful companies.Students gain hands-on experience in project management that can be useful for any career.
