10 Bar Exam Preparation Degree Programs

Our LLM Bar Training Course offers intensive, postgraduate-level studies to those who wish to qualify as a barrister but who also wish to undertake research at Master;s level. This course is taken after undergraduate study and before the period of work-based learning, known as pupillage.

The Bar Practice Course (BPC) is the qualifying postgraduate course allowing graduates to prepare for practise as barristers in England and Wales. It is the vocational stage of training which you’re required to pass before you can go on to complete the final, practical stage of training: pupillage.

The Bar Track LLM is designed for students interested in completing an LLM degree as a way to become eligible to sit for the Bar exam in California and/or New York. Loyola has one of the highest bar passage rates in California and its faculty has extensive experience in training students for the bar exam. Our Bar Track LLM takes advantage of this experience and offers to our students a unique course of study, created by keeping in mind the specific challenges that foreign law graduates face when preparing for the bar exam.

We designed our 2-Year J.D. Program for Foreign-Trained Lawyers for highly qualified international applicants interested in obtaining a U.S. Juris Doctor and having the ability to take the New York State Bar exam.

The Master of Laws (LL.M.) is an advanced program of legal study that is customized to the needs of the individual student. LL.M. candidates, mentored by expert faculty, plan a course of study in one of the following concentrations: Law and Technology, Securities Law, or Comparative and International Law. Foreign LL.M. students have the option to pursue a curriculum that helps prepare them for a U.S. bar examination while acquiring a broad understanding of the U.S. common law system.

UA&P’s Law program provides training in standard competencies expected of lawyers, such as legal reasoning and advocacy.

UWLA School of Law awards the Juris Doctor Degree to students who satisfactorily complete a minimum of 85-semester units of law study, including all required courses, with a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 on the 4.00 scale and who have met all other residency and scholastic requirements.
