In 2014, Abu Dhabi Polytechnic and the National Centre for Meteorology collaborated to develop the educational infrastructure with an objective to develop skilled manpower in the field of Meteorological services for the United Arab Emirates. The Faculty of Applied Media offer a program of study that is student-centered and project-based; where practical project work is conceptualized and supported by theoretical knowledge. Learning will be accomplished through a variety of means including, but not limited to, lectures, student research, discussions, workshops, guest speakers, and industry visits.

In Graphic Design, students acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in design and practice while developing a variety of skills in print and media design. Through their coursework, students explore typography, publication and packaging design, advertising, branding, and web design. They also learn about project briefs, research, and client interaction, and how to pitch, develop, and finally implement design proposals. Through community engagement and team-directed and client-based projects, students are encouraged to understand the social and cultural dimension of any project in order to become innovative leaders in design.

The Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Analysis degree program is an undergraduate program offered at KIC. The program aims at preparing knowledgeable, highly skilled graduates who are skilled in using up-to-date instruments and biochemical, microscopic, molecular, and immunological techniques to analyze blood, tissues, and other medical specimens.
