Social and Public Policy is an exciting new opportunity for young people who want to make a difference in today’s world. After its formal acceptance by authorities of the University of Warsaw (see Contact Us), this program will equip students with essential skills and knowledge in political science, social policy, and public policy, and provide them with an understanding of contemporary social and political issues and their determinants.

Undergraduate Program in Political Science is addressed primarily to the high school graduates. The Program is fee-paying. The language is English. The courses within the studies are both theoretical (aimed at developing the theoretical knowledge of political science issues) and practical, including courses preparing students to do research. The Programme consists of obligatory and optional courses (the latter enables students to develop their individual path of studies). Particular emphasis is placed on issues concerning European integration as well as Poland and Central and Eastern Europe.

It is a unique and innovative practical field of study educating highly qualified management staff for the needs of entities operating in the public sphere - public institutions, corporations, enterprises and third sector organizations.

The 3-year first-cycle degree full-time program consists of six semesters (terms) and over 20 courses plus a dissertation seminar aimed at thesis preparation and individual focus. All units are taught in English by experienced American and European academic teachers. The unique format of the Undergraduate Programme in International Relations not only introduces students to the workings of the field of International Relations but also makes them responsive to interdisciplinary concerns such as law, business, history, and culture.

The fundamental assumption of the Administration study program is the synergy of knowledge, skills and competences from various disciplines, and necessary to play an active professional and social role at work in the structures of local government and government administration, in structures that create and support entrepreneurship and social activity, as well as perform tasks in the field of protection of public safety and order.

Learning aims to transfer knowledge in the field of broadly understood social sciences, including, in particular, the legal and administrative sciences. Students in the field of administration acquire knowledge, social competencies, and, above all, skills enabling proactive, public-spirited attitudes.

On the other hand, the ongoing dispute over education confronts educators with a complicated dilemma of choosing basic values and concerns the answer to the question: should a person be faithful to basic values or should he or she be subject to the current of changes?
