The BCom in Business Innovation at AFDA is a project-based degree designed to future-proof, stimulate and build capacity in students to drive digital transformation and advancement in the South African and African markets to compete globally. BCom students apply market research and entrepreneurial strategies to real digital outcomes for testing and a greater probability of release to the marketplace.

We are obsessed that the student jumps into the working world in the best conditions. Therefore, our curriculum is connected with the employability of the future: internationalization, innovation and creativity in the management and strategic direction of resources.

General competences: That students acquire an ethical commitment to society in carrying out their activities; that students acquire skills in the use of Information and Communication Technologies; that students acquire the ability to work independently to ensure that they are entrepreneurs in their activities.

This programme combines creativity, entrepreneurship, and innovation. This is a new generation program for those, who are not afraid to break the rules. It is founded upon the principle of “learning by doing”, so the 3-year study programme is largely based on an individual business project.

Entrepreneurs design, launch and run a new business from the ground up. Students of the Entrepreneurship minor learn to develop, organize and manage a business venture, develop business instincts, identify goals and learn strategies for opening a successful business.

If you’re interested in developing innovative solutions to real problems—and bringing those solutions to those who need them—this program will help you build critical skills including analyzing consumer, community, or market needs; creating business plans; reconciling conflicting goals; prioritizing and organizing work; pitching ideas; working well on multidisciplinary teams; collaborating and communicating with outside boards and advisors.

This program is new to MT&M College and has been introduced for the first time in the 2013/2014 academic year. The duration of study is three years and is available as Full-time, Part-time or Alternative Part-time Bachelor’s Degree Programs.
