BEng Mechanical Engineering program is a four year degree program for those who want to gain knowledge in mechanical engineering to pursue a career in industry or continue in graduate studies. The degree is awarded after the successful completion of 132 credit hours of undergraduate work listed in the curriculum below, including a compulsory industrial internship and Capstone project.

Chemical Engineering is the study of planning, designing, and developing products and processes where chemical and physical changes occur. The BEng in Chemical Engineering develops your engineering skills with a firm grounding in chemistry.

The Engineering program, which developed for the College of Applied Sciences in Sohar by faculty of Engineering/Sultan Qaboos University, is based on international standards to facilitate national and international recognition through accreditation in the future. The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) criteria are adopted. Our graduates are well-Educated, highly skilled, and socially and professionally responsible engineer’s who represent a diverse population. We utilize input from employers, alumni and an industry advisory board to keep our programs real-world and real time.

The Architectural Engineering program aims to provide the knowledge and skills required for designing and overseeing the construction work of buildings with due consideration given to the environment aspects as well the cultural aspects of a place.

This BEng Energy Engineering is underpinned by “Sustainability” and “Technology” where the curriculum is designed systematically to provide students with a broad understanding of sustainability in various aspects related to Energy and particularly on decarbonizing the Energy sector. In addition, the aim is to provide students with state of the are Technology required for the 4IR where digitalization and Artificial Intelligence are the major part of the Energy industry to improve efficiency and develop new renewables and their applications such as electric vehicles.

This program is designed to provide the students with comprehensive knowledge in different aspects of software engineering: analysis and specification of requirements, specification of programs, program development, software quality management, software projects management, documentation, examination, and management of software configurations, as well as some practical directions of the software development including those that occur in huge and complicated systems. Our graduates are strong candidates for public and private organizations inside or outside the Sultanate in the careers of Computer software applications engineer, Computer software system engineer, Software solution developer, Software project manager, Software designer, Software analyst, Computer support specialist.

This 4-year degree program prepares students to be successful electronic engineers. This is done through the effective teaching of electronics and communications engineering principles with the essential practical skills to enable graduates to practice and progress within the industrial environment as highly skilled engineers and entrepreneurs.
