The Department of Agrobioscience aims to utilize knowledge obtained through analyzing phenomena related to the natural environment and living organisms from biology- and chemistry-based perspectives. We produce human resources with the specialist knowledge, abilities and a sense of ethics necessary to understand and analyze a variety of phenomena from the molecular and cellular levels to the ecosystem level.

Bioresource and agricultural engineers develop efficient and sustainable methods of producing food and other agricultural products as well as managing renewable energy and other resources. The BioResource and Agricultural Engineering Department prepares you to develop solutions to some of the world's most pressing agricultural problems including food production, water management, renewable energy and more.

Animals and plants are essential bioresources that provide the key to humanity’s survival. The Department of Bioresource Science provides education and research on animals, plants and microorganisms and their mutual relationships from the genetic to the ecosystem level. This also includes the efficient management and utilization of bioresources for sustainable food production and safe food supply. This Department has two divisions, the Division of Animal Science and the Division of Plant Science.
