The Department of Biology offers several courses of study at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Undergraduate students can choose among four concentrations in the Biology B.S. degree (Biology, Cellular Biology, Environmental Biology, or Health Sciences).

The Computer Science Department is in the College of Engineering. Thus, degree requirements include those of the University, the College, and the Department. Computer science is a technical major program, which combines professional training in Computer Science with broad experiences across the University.

The undergraduate program has one degree, a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, but two concentration options: (1) Chemical Engineering and (2) Bio-Molecular Engineering. Both concentrations contain the same core chemical engineering courses, but the latter concentration has more of a focus on the increasingly important bio-related areas of chemical engineering.

What powers your imagination? Electrical and computer engineers have found inspiration to design, build, and test devices that power our everyday world and carry information across the globe. HD TVs, robots and intelligent systems, solar power, computer chips, new computer operating systems – they all have electrical and computer engineers in common.

As the largest undergraduate department on campus, we provide the rigorous, practice-based curriculum our students have come to expect. From the many active student organizations to hands-on learning experiences in capstone classes and Co-Op opportunities, we hope each of our students gains both the knowledge and experience to succeed!

The faculty in the Department of Exercise Science, Physical Education, and Wellness believes that individuals and society benefit from physical activity. The mission of the Department is to promote an enhanced quality of life through participation in physical activity, exercise, and sports for the people of Tennessee and beyond.
