Fashion is a global enterprise that employs millions of people internationally in the design, manufacture, distribution, marketing, advertising, and retailing of textiles, apparel, costumes, and accessories. Both flexibility and focus are needed to succeed in the fashion industry, along with an understanding of the relations between design, technology, and business. Albright students are encouraged to personalize degree paths by combining fashion with communications, digital media, business, education, and even psychology and political science. This broad approach polishes the critical thinking skills that are demanded in all professional fields and are expected in upper-level fashion positions. And hands-on instruction ensures graduates are skilled in technology and ready to take on the fast-paced industry.

The Art major, combined Art major, and special program minors within the Department of Art and Art History provide you the opportunity to combine general liberal studies with in-depth study in studio art and art history. By expanding your knowledge of art genres, visual concepts, media, and artists, the Art Department heightens your awareness of and appreciation for the visual arts. We emphasize critical thinking, effective self-expression, and creative problem-solving. Through our curriculum, Art and Art History fosters your understanding of the global role of visual arts in human society.

This program prepares students for jobs and careers in any of the three major areas of the criminal justice system: law enforcement, the course, and corrections. Combine courses from Albright’s Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology programs to gain a broad knowledge of criminal deviance and societal responses to crime. Students majoring in Crime and Justice at Albright College pursue a wide range of legal, political, administrative, psychological, and sociological analysis. Graduates move into careers in the police and security fields (including FBI and secret service), the legal bar, the judiciary system, corrections, and probation.
