The psychology program delivers a vibrant, active, engaging learning experience within a department that is as closely-knit as any other on campus. In addition to studying the major theories, methodologies, applications, and databases used by psychologists, students also develop essential skills in communication and critical thinking. Small group projects will enable you to bond with fellow students, and you’ll find regular opportunities to take your learning experience beyond the classroom through research, practicums, experiential learning in mental health service organizations, and the activities of Psi Chi and the Psychology Club.

The Computer Science Major focuses on teaching programming and computation. It is meant to give professionals foundational skills and theory that can be applied to any career in coding. It also provides an in-depth computer architecture overview where students gain an understanding of how computer operating systems work.

Students studying accounting at Carroll College gain an in-depth understanding of financial reporting, auditing, financial analysis and planning, and taxation along with the communication skills, ethical reasoning, and analytical abilities that employers value. Classes introduce leading-edge ESG reporting (environmental, social, and governance issues) and Carroll is among the few master of accountancy programs that includes a course in ESG reporting. Students have opportunities to work closely with business professionals, and nearly 90% complete internships or work for regional accounting firms, local non-profits, area businesses, and governmental agencies while enrolled at Carroll.
