As an engineering student at Albion, you’ll gain the skills fostered by a liberal arts education while you build your foundational technical knowledge. Then, you’ll transfer to an engineering school to finish your advanced studies.

Explore the social worlds humans have created–past and present. As an anthropology and sociology student, you’ll focus on empirical methods, interpretive theories, and substantive findings of both anthropology and sociology that will allow you to understand the human experience in cultures from around the world and throughout history.

Study the relationship between our society and the natural world and examine the complex ethical, cultural, environmental, and political challenges this raises. Develop the analytical, rhetorical, and creative skills necessary to address the environmental challenges we face today and create sustainable strategies for the future.

Examine the social construction and social consequences of gender. Explore how gender shapes–and is shaped by–history, culture, nationality, systems of representation, and institutions of knowledge.
