Global Management students gain knowledge in theory, practice, and imagination through experiential activities in our classes. They develop business plans for startups or nonprofits with peers, compete for funding, and implement their ideas in their home countries or locally.

Chemistry students at Earlham are challenged by our core courses, part of a curriculum approved and certified by the American Chemical Society.

Economics at Earlham introduces students to the theoretical and empirical tools of economic analysis. Our students develop and hone the skills required to undertake independent research.

At Earlham, our students develop mathematical fundamentals and problem-solving skills that they can apply in a variety of disciplines or in further study of mathematics.

Built-in 2015, the Center for Science and Technology includes a state-of-the-art computer lab and a robotics lab, supporting both what we teach and how we teach it.

Psychology students at Earlham practice real-life observation, hone counseling skills, assist with faculty research, and conduct research of their own. This approach allows students to be involved in their discipline in ways that are both relevant and demanding.

Informatics Informatics is an applied form of information science. It involves the practice of information processing and the engineering of information systems. Informatics considers the interaction between humans and information by exploring interfaces, organizations, technologies, and systems. It is information technology applied to human problems. Informatics as a discipline is closely related to, but distinct from, such fields as computer science, information science and other traditional disciplines related to information technology. It is more general, basic and applied than any of these related disciplines; more general in that it emphasizes breadth across issues in all of the related disciplines, and includes social and ethical issues regarding the information revolution; more basic in that it examines foundational questions about the very nature of information and computation; and more applied since the aim is to produce qualified information technology professionals to meet the rapidly rising need.

The Marketing Minor provides fundamental instruction in advertising, promotions, public relations, sales, and consumer behavior. Students will gain an understanding of contemporary marketing practices, the consumer buying decision process, and common marketing problems and challenges. Students taking the minor will have the opportunity to apply what they learn through, work on real-world projects, and participation in national competitions.
