We designed the finance major to provide you with a global understanding of financial markets. You'll learn to make informed financial management decisions. You'll also gain an understanding of the risk and return characteristics of investment instruments. In the Investments course, you'll manage a one-million-dollar virtual portfolio. You'll learn to invest in stocks, bonds, options, commodities, and foreign exchange futures. In Security Analysis & Portfolio Management, you'll perform macro-economic, industry, and security analyses. As part of this project, you'll learn how to examine a firm’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
