The Department of Psychology has three main aims. First of all, to offer courses for the undergraduate and graduate programs in psychology; secondly, to offer students from other departments a minor degree in psychology; and finally, to offer courses to students of other departments to broaden their understanding of psychological phenomena.

The philosophy of English Language Teaching (ELT) within the METU-SUNY International Joint Program recognizes the critical role of English as a global language and emphasizes the importance of effective language acquisition, cross-cultural communication, and linguistic competence in today's interconnected world. The basic goal of TED University Department of Architecture is to provide an architectural education that aims to train students to become architects who are able to meet the contemporary world’s increasing demand for flexible thinking and production; and who can follow technological, social, and practical developments day today. The Department of Architecture incorporates the student-oriented education policy of TED University and the practice of learning by doing, which is an essential requirement of architectural education and aims to define an education environment that facilitates interdisciplinary information exchange.
