Transportation management requires overseeing the passage of goods and services from their beginning location to their final destination. Students in transportation management programs learn how to converse with carrier companies, file import and export paperwork with the proper authorities, and make last-minute changes to delivery schedules.

A bachelor's degree is given to students who fulfill the necessary requirements given by the college or university they are attending. The requirements include three to seven years of focus on a subject, typically referred to as a major or concentration.
