Prop Makers work with designers and directors from all areas of the industry, and need to be ingenious, quick-thinking, dexterous, enjoy problem solving and have a love of materials and all things three-dimensional. On this course students will gain experience and a high level of technical competence, working with a wide-range of materials and techniques including sculpting skills, casting techniques, welding, polystyrene carving, vacuum forming, carpentry, life casting, paint finishing and texturing. They will develop skills in research, analysis, collaboration and design interpretation, as well as strong technical drawing skills, and an understanding of color theories, working to scale, period styles and aesthetics.

With the Degree in Performing and Cinematographic Arts from Universidad Loyola , you will be able to make your vocation of becoming an actor or actress a reality and develop your profession as an interpreter in theater and scenic productions, acting for film and TV or dubbing. The German language acting program within the Faculty of Music and Theater of the West University of Timişoara, was established in 1992 and aims to train professional actors primarily for the German language scenes in Romania and other countries from Europe. A central place in training is occupied by the discovery and development of artistic personality through improvisation exercises, stage transposition of epic texts, role studies with an ascending degree of difficulty, studio productions and shows with audiences, as well as theatrical internships.

The Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts is designed to incorporate the best of Saint Martin’s liberal arts tradition with hands-on, professional-quality theatrical experience. It integrates theatrical training with the study of dramatic literature and theater history.

Liberal Studies (LBS) is an interdisciplinary undergraduate major for students who intend to become elementary and special education teachers or to pursue related graduate work. Courses leading to the B.A. in Liberal Studies focus on the subject areas taught in elementary schools as well as professional preparation and early fieldwork. LBS is a California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) approved Elementary Subject Matter Preparation Program (ESM). LBS also offers two Integrated Teacher Education Programs (ITEP) in which students earn a B.A. and a credential for teaching elementary school (multiple subjects) or special education (education specialist mild/moderate).

Our program prepares students for all aspects of life in the theater with two tracks to choose from: design & technology or theatre-making. For over half a century, the theatre department at Rider has held a rich tradition of providing students with extensive training in the theatre arts.

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) is Otago's most flexible undergraduate degree Program, enabling students to study from a selection of more than 40 arts and social science subjects, as well as papers offered elsewhere in the University. Academic breadth is complemented by in-depth knowledge gained through majoring in one or two subjects with the option of minors in one or two others.

The Theatre Arts Option offers courses in the field of acting and directing, design and technical theatre, theatre history, dramatic literature, speech, and drama for the classroom. The Dance Option offers courses in the fields of ballet, modern, jazz, and tap; dances of world cultures to include Hip Hop, Ballroom, Middle Eastern Dance, African Dance, and Latin Social Dance; choreography; dance history; and dance production. Course requirements for theatre and dance in the major and minor programs provide for flexibility and allow students considerable choice in planning their academic careers.

This course’s integration of artistic development with performance and production skills prepares students to become independent practitioners and/or to work in key organizational, administrative and artistic positions across the arts. In the first two years, students take part in a programme that seeks to develop their practice in three key areas: text/theory, body/movement, and materials/technology. In the final year students choose an area of focus, which will be developed and contextualized within independent projects. The course is tailored towards the development of an individual creative identity in the context of collaborative work, where students undertake different roles and positions to challenge their own process and ways of working.

The Department of Theatre inspires students to expand their vision of the world and themselves, preparing them for leadership as practitioners, educators, and artists. The Department of Theatre offers a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, with concentrations in one of the following areas: Performance; Design/Tech; Directing, Dramaturgy and Dramatic Writing; Applied Theatre; and Theatre Education. The B.A. degree allows the flexibility to pursue a double major. A Minor in Theatre and a Certificate in Musical Theatre are also offered.
