The Bachelor's in Film and TV Production will let you learn every technique and aspect of Film and TV production, you will create industry-level content and qualify to work in media houses, TV companies, production houses, digital information communication and the media industry in general.

Our Television Production BA is a practice-based course taught by broadcast industry professionals and media theorists, combining critical analysis with hands-on practical skills. Our course focuses on how television programmes are conceived, produced, commissioned and distributed in a digital broadcast and multi-platform environment. You’ll work across a digital workflow supporting single-camera and multi-camera studio production modes and produce programmes across all genres, from documentary and drama series to TV commercials and studio entertainment shows. As well as learning practical skills in editing, camera operations, sound recording, lighting and graphics, you’ll study critical analysis of the ever-changing global broadcast and digital media industries. You’ll work with industry-standard facilities and equipment while being taught by experienced industry professionals and practitioners, including documentary filmmakers, directors, producers and screenwriters. We also host a range of visiting lecturers and guest speakers, from sound designers to investigative journalists and social media strategists.

In this highly practical course, you study ‘hands-on’ in our state-of-the-art TV studios, using a range of industry-standard cameras, sound, lighting and editing equipment. At the end of your three years, you will be multi-skilled, industry-ready practitioners. Employability is a core feature of this course: it is our job to help you break into TV and film and we work with you to develop industry links and find paid work or internships during your time with us. 

The BFA degree offers a solid grounding in the creative process and business skills of entertainment, as well as an in-depth specialization in one of the key areas of filmmaking (directing, producing, cinematography, editing, production design, and screenwriting).

The AFDA Postgraduate school is focused on developing innovative research, origination, production, and distribution of entertainment concepts for both local and international markets.
