One ECTS equals 25.5 hours of student workload per semester. Established in 2007, the undergraduate program of the Department of Computer Engineering aims at educating technically competent and socially conscious engineers who will design and implement information and computing systems mandated by the ever-growing and diversified automation needs of contemporary societies. The department offers a balanced undergraduate program that covers computer software, computer hardware, and computer networks with a strong background in mathematics as well as non-departmental technical/non-technical and compulsory/elective courses.

Department of Computer Engineering at Altinbas University aims to educate the students to build a solid engineering foundation through common engineering discipline courses and a solid computer engineering foundation through hardware, software, and application courses.

The Electronics Engineering (EE) program is designed to provide the theoretical fundamentals and comprehensive technological background for leading-edge work in this rapidly developing field. Electrical and Electronics Engineering students are trained as professional engineers, experienced in the fields of electrical, electronics, monitoring and communication. The department provides English medium education. The microprocessor and physics laboratories differentiate the programme from other similar courses in the same field. Experiments can be carried out in circuit analysis, as well as in analog and digital electronics.

The program aims to educate Computer Engineers who are dynamic, have up-to-date information, and find solutions to real-world problems. The programme provides the necessary background and technical skills to work professionally in computer hardware, software design, computer-based systems, computer network design, system integration or electronic design automation.

With the increasing use of computers in daily life, the importance of computer software is also increasing day by day. In line with these developments, our students are trained as professionals who are able to develop high-quality and cost-effective computer software.

In today’s world, molecular biology, biochemistry, and other biological fields are becoming increasingly information driven. Mainly the need of processing massive quantities of sequence information generated by recent developments in genome sequencing and proteome analysis has propelled these life sciences into a new era in which computer science, information technologies, and biology merged into a single discipline as bioinformatics.

The ship and Yacht Design undergraduate programme aim to build an international reputation and has been developed in conjunction with the industry to ensure essential skills in both the design and production of ships and yachts are covered. Students on this new programme will study basic design and engineering science underlying great design and the fundamental principles of naval architecture, construction methods, and high-tech fibre reinforced composite materials.
