Our Liberal Arts program is largely self-designed. This program qualifies you to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree qualification that you design for exactly the skills you need and what you want to learn. It enables you to develop knowledge and understanding within and across specific subject areas that, along with the Soft Skills, can be transferred anywhere, anytime. It is a combination of learning, self-reflection, and social impact.

Do you want to a socially responsible creative making innovative designs? On this course you’ll discover how to craft products from scratch, taking them from scale drawings to the final prototype. You’ll lean towards an environmentally aware and technologically innovative approach, supported by a sound understanding of cultural and critical insight and user behaviour.

Combine analytical thinking skills relevant to contemporary glass practice with an understanding of material and technical processes to express your own relationship to contemporary art and culture, the international glass movement, and craft ideals as you develop a sustained, innovative studio glass practice. The Glass Minor introduces students to an array of techniques, approaches to material, and idea development strategies. Students may choose to focus on materially oriented approaches such as kiln forming or hot glass, or they may opt to pursue independent trajectories within our classes in support of conceptually driven ends.
