As a student in the Thiel College Education Department, students will experience high-quality education programs based on the latest “Effective Schools” research that includes instructional teaching strategies based on the work of Robert Marzano, Jay McTighe, Grant Wiggins, Charlotte Danielson, and other current leaders in the field of education. Biology teachers guide students to understand how things happen in the natural and physical environment and illustrate the simplicity of design that underlies the complex events that occur in nature.

Help students learn about compounds, elements, molecules, atoms, ions, and chemical reactions. Lead them in laboratory experiments that teach them the importance of the scientific method. Skills include decision-making, innovative thinking, listening, and oral and written communication.
