BA in Sports Recreation & Wellness encompasses all things sports, recreation, wellness, health education and services, as well as the sports industry, community, and fitness fields, prioritizing the use of non-formal teaching methods, developing the lifelong learner, and providing experiential learning opportunities.

Fitness, Recreation & Sports Management is the most flexible degree in the School of Kinesiology, Health & Recreation. It allows for 22 credit hours of electives and is the only degree in the School that requires a minor.

The Strength and Conditioning track readies students to pursue careers like personal trainers with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to design safe and effective fitness programs with the primary goal of improving athletic performance. FSU's online graduate certificate in Athletic Coaching provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to be an effective coach regardless of sport and level. Coaches have a significant role in the lives of their athletes, and this program teaches current and future coaches how to meet the athletic, academic, and personal needs of their athletes. The BBA in Sports Management-Sports Marketing is designed to provide you the management and marketing fundamentals you’ll need to launch or enhance a sports business career. You’ll gain practical insights into the world of sports marketing, as well as professional connections – all part of a hands-on, real-world sports marketing education.

A degree in health and fitness studies will prepare you for careers in community recreation departments, health clubs, hospital wellness programs, corporate fitness centers, and school wellness programs. Students in this program also go on to become successful athletic coaches. Health and fitness studies majors must complete two internships where they observe, plan, and implement fitness or community recreation programs.
