Psychology is the field of science which examines human behaviors and cognitive processes. The information gathered in this field of science which places great importance in scientific research are used in order to comprehend facts and problems of humanity, increase our life quality and to help to solve complex issues.

Psychology is a discipline examining many topics related to human emotions such as fear, love, hate, and human behaviors such as murder and heroism, and also cognitive processes such as language and creativity. It also investigates the relationship between all these and the human body and brain using scientific methods in very creative and interesting ways.

The main objective of our psychology department is to help students acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the area of psychology that are contemporary and robust To this end, our faculty consists of academicians who are graduates of the highest ranking universities in Turkey, Europe, and the US, are experts in various areas of psychology and have extensively published both nationally and internationally.

The last few years the interest for the disciple of Psychology is rising fast both in Turkey and abroad.

The program aims at producing research and teaching in high international standards which equip students with a strong base in psychological knowledge; the study of human mind and behavior. By adopting an interdisciplinary approach, it introduces students to contemporary issues and research questions in Psychology that has implications for a variety of disciplines.

Students will study the broad range of the discipline, focusing on both theoretical and applied aspects of psychology, with a strong emphasis on developing a vigorous research methodology, scientific critical thinking, and applicable study skills. This learning will be facilitated by our faculty of talented, active, international researchers.

At Altinbas University our primary objective is to educate graduates capable of interrogating their surroundings and having grasped the importance of lifelong learning.
