Psychology plays an ever more important role in society.  This is a time of great transformation in which regular pathologies coexist with emerging problems, and the profession of a psychologist is still far from being consolidated.  The fifth labour insertion survey undertaken by the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU) in 2014, demonstrates that the employability rate of holders of degrees in Psychology is 77% for jobs in different fields.  In Spain, jobs based on psychological, emotional, educational and work-related problems are predicted to grow as these issues represent between 33% and 53% of the consultations Spanish GPs receive.
