Bachelor of Science in Ministerial Leadership - Pastoral Care and Counseling Track - Extension Site/Regional Campus Program Description The extension site Bachelor of Science in Ministerial Leadership – Pastoral Care & Counseling track degree program prepares students for ministry leadership—in local churches, faith-based non-profit organizations, and other ministry contexts—through an interdisciplinary curriculum of courses in the foundational core (i.e., English, psychology, math, science, etc.), Bible, theology, ministry, and ministry practicum. The final 18 hours of the major core is an interdisciplinary study in psychology, counseling, and pastoral care. Students who complete this degree program will be able to: 1. Properly use hermeneutical tools to exegete and apply the Bible in ministry contexts 2. Analyze and apply basic Christian theology in ministry contexts 3. Apply planning, team, financial leadership skills in ministry contexts 4. Engage in helping pastoral relationships in ministry contexts 5. Integrate their biblical interpretation, theological, leadership, and biblical studies competencies in ministry contexts.

The BD in Theology with Pastoral Studies invites students to explore issues of Scripture and Christian belief, lived ethics, Christian spirituality, and mission.

When you receive your Bachelor’s Degree in Bible with a double minor in Pastoral Theology and Practical Ministry, you will be well-versed in multiple ministry positions. This degree requires you to learn many of the in’s and outs of pastoral ministry, preaching an expository message, and translating the Bible’s original languages.

Our faculty have been or are currently worship pastors, they have the pastoral experience and hearts necessary to shepherd their students ministerially as well as academically. The gospel is the focus in every area of this degree. All of our classes, services, and training is centered on Christ.

This course's content is based on the principle that successful ministry is achieved through in-depth knowledge of Scripture, understanding the Church’s history and mission, and pastoral skills relevant to contemporary needs.

Expository Preaching and Pastoral Leadership prepares the student for a vibrant pastoral ministry. Faithfulness to the Word and its leadership principles are the foundation for the student’s study.

The study programme aims to provide higher collegial education in social work, corresponding to European standards, by preparing a specialist capable of taking care of individuals' spiritual health and social well-being (especially surviving existential difficulties), based on Christian values.

Nyack’s Pastoral Ministries department equips men and women to successfully serve the church and not-for-profit organizations locally and globally. We also prepare students to be ministers in the workplace in any professional context. We focus on the well-rounded development of our students in the areas of attitude, knowledge, and skill so that they graduate equipped with the following: an understanding of their unique calling and gifting; the ability to lead with a servant’s heart; a deep understanding of the Bible; healthy emotional, physical, and relational habits; spiritual maturity and passion; and the desire to apply biblical principles to every area of their life.

The Bachelor of Divinity (BD) is our central award. It is a four-year degree designed for men and women who want a biblical and theological foundation to prepare them for a lifetime of service in full-time Christian ministry.

BACHELOR OF ARTS in Christian Ministry is a 129 credit hours program in leadership development, practical ministry training, scholarly biblical knowledge, advanced preparation for continued education and employment, internship capstone.
