The Division of Biology provides biology courses for undergraduate and postgraduate study programmes within the Faculty of Science and Technology. The courses provided by the division strike a balance between traditional studies in biology and modern advances in biological research at levels ranging from molecules to communities.

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme consists of 24 courses, of which 8 courses are at 100-level, 8 courses are at 200-level, and 8 courses are at 300-level, including 2 x 100-level university courses and 2 x 200-level university courses. Students who enroll in the three-year BA degree programme may take Mathematics as a single major, a double major, or a minor.

The Physics Programme offers a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree. The training focuses on the areas of Renewable Energy and Environment, Electronics and Communications, and Pure Physics. Students have a choice to pursue their BSc degree in Physics as a Single Major, Double Major, or Minor. The School also offers graduate courses in many areas of specialization.

This program does not follow the usual programme requirements for major and minor disciplines but instead have prescribed sets of courses, across discipline boundaries.

The Engineering Programmes, offered by the School of Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics & Physics (STEMP), provide training to suit the workforce needs of the region, especially for the USP member countries. The two STEMP engineering programmes: Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics, and Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, have received accreditation from the Institute of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ).

The Bachelor of Commerce in Professional Accounting is a prescribed programme and exists for students who are already in the accounting field or have previous work experience in accounting, and wish to pursue their career in a professional accounting firm. This programme consists of 24 courses, of which eight are at 100-level, eight are at 200-level, and eight are at 300-level.
