The faculty advisors work with all students interested in pursuing a career in health professions (ex: medical, dental, pharmacy, etc.). We work with both current students and Alumni who are applying to health professions schools and encourage all students that are interested in a career in Health Professions to attend workshops, familiarize themselves with our website, join our emails, and to come to our office for an advising appointment every semester. Thus, we enjoy working with students at all stages of their pre-health journey.

After graduating with a BS in Biology degree, you can find work in laboratory settings as a biotechnology or laboratory technician at universities, research centers, or pharmaceutical companies. Our coursework has a required minimum of eleven laboratory courses, and as such, employers compete for our extensively trained students.

Siena Heights offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Our General Math and Pre-Actuarial options were intended to prepare our graduates for careers in industry or for further study in graduate school. The engineering field is becoming even more dependent on mathematics. Currently, most of our Pre-Engineering majors stay at Siena Heights as Math majors.

This concentration is intended for students that plan to pursue a career in most Biology fields where you deal with whole animals or with animal systems, such as Zoology, Histology, and Physiology and is recommended for pre-professional students. The pre-med program in physics fulfills the admission requirements for medical, dental, or veterinary school while providing in-depth training in the physical sciences.
