Put simply, Population Health is concerned with the wide range of factors that can determine the health and the health outcomes of individuals, groups and populations. 

The Biomedicine study program is an international program given completely in English. From autumn 2021 the program is updated with a stronger focus on the employment market for biomedicine, medical research, and digital health. The program gives you a broad education, from chemistry and medical biochemistry to cell and human biology, anatomy, genetics, immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, pharmacology, physiology, infection biology, and the biomedical basis of diseases.

The School of Medicine, Dentistry, and Biomedical Sciences has close ties with the Northern Ireland community as part of its educational, research, and outreach programs. Our Patients as Partners make a valuable contribution to the education of medical students, through their participation in the selection of medical students for the program, teaching sessions, as well as assessments.

The Medical Science bachelor programme is a foundation for careers in new and emerging areas of the health sciences and a requirement for further study on our Human Medicine master programme.

Develop the skills you need for a career as a clinical technologist, capable of applying your knowledge to assist in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients. You will specialise in three areas - renal technology (dialysis), rehabilitation engineering (prosthetics / orthotics), and medical technology/engineering.
