The aim of the BSc in Mechanical Engineering is to produce mechanical engineers who are capable of operating and maintaining machines and mechanical equipment, of introducing or applying engineering technologies, of organizing and directing work, and of performing technical development, research, and design of average complexity according to labor market needs, furthermore, they have sufficient in-depth theoretical knowledge to continue their training in the second cycle.

The aim of the program is to train mechanical engineers who are capable of operating and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment, introducing and applying mechanical engineering technologies, organising and managing work, and carrying out tasks of average complexity in technical development, research and design, taking into account the needs of the labour market.

This BSc program in Mechanical Engineering offers the knowledge of mechanical engineers who are able to operate and maintain machines and engineering equipment, install and apply mechanical engineering technologies, organize and control the work, and fulfill the technical development, research, and planning tasks of average complexity level in accordance with the requirements of the labour market; and who have acquired in-depth theoretical knowledge that is adequate to enable them to continue with their studies in the graduate, master level.

The goal of this program is to train mechanical engineers with professional knowledge based on a solid theoretical and industrial background. As the output of the program, the graduate engineers will have the skills to take part in designing and manufacturing complete machines or machine elements, use Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools, operate and develop complete production chains in various engineering fields. Mechanical Engineers must have a general problem-solving attitude while also need to be able to participate in teams of large-scale projects.

Knowledge of a mechanical engineer is determinant in the designing and controlling of production processes. The mechanical engineer contributes to develop new systems and to make good use of his/her knowledge in the distribution and adaptation of different equipment and technologies.
