A graduate of the bachelor’s degree study program Production Processes and Materials in the Mechanical Engineering field of study can orient himself in technical documentation and standards, he/she is able to search, summarize and evaluate the necessary information. The Materials Engineering study program offers a good perspective in terms of employment in the labor market. Alumni of the Materials Design and Logistics degree program of a general-academic profile know engineering materials (metal, ceramic, polymer, and composite materials) combined with logistics knowledge. Alumni are familiar with materials manufacturing/processing technologies, the relationship between their structure and properties, and testing methods.

Our Chemical Engineering programme aims to provide students with a sound understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals to enable them to progress to professional Chartered Engineer status. In addition to a grounding in science, mathematics and engineering, our students acquire practical skills that are highly sought after by industry.

At the Faculty of Chemical Technology, students may focus their professional profiles towards specialized fields: the production and properties of metals, glass, or ceramic materials; plastics and rubber; biocompatible materials; and nano- or submicron-scale structured materials. Students can also focus on a more theoretical program exceeding the scope of the foundational program. During the course of the program, students choose one of three specializations offered.

Bachelors in Nanotechnology is one of the youngest and most significantly developing scientific disciplines of the 21st century. VŠB-TUO offers the study of this interesting field in a bachelor´s study. The program of study has interdisciplinary character and provides theoretical knowledge of physics and chemistry. It is focused on the study of the structure, properties of nanomaterials and their preparation. The graduate has wide range of employment in laboratories and operations of industrial enterprises that deal with modern materials. At the same time, the graduate can continue in follow up master degree program and thus deepen his knowledge and skills.
