Chair of the "Pedagogy and Psychology" trains bachelors, masters of pedagogical and psychological sciences and doctors Ph.D. in the specialty "Pedagogy and Psychology" (5B010300, 6M010300, 6D010300). The scientific and pedagogical potential of the chair is represented by 10 doctors, professors, and 9 candidates of sciences, associate professors, leading scientists in the field of pedagogy and psychology, the owners of the various government grants, and national and international awards.

The institute of arts, culture, and sport of the Abay Kazakh National pedagogical university is a successor of Abay Kazakh Pedagogical Institute, which was the first and until recently only specialized educational institution in the field of professional art education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The institute conducts training of artists, musicians, choreographers, designers, and teachers of physical education.

The scientific and pedagogical activity of the institute is aimed at solving urgent problems related to the theory and methodology of teaching mathematics, physics, and computer science, as well as the introduction of new information and communication technologies in the education system.

Chair of Theory and History of State and Law was established in 1992 at the chair of History and methodology of teaching Soviet law, which was in charge of the candidate of historical sciences, professor Naizagarin T.A In the part of the department worked on the corresponding member of NAS RK, Doctor of Law, Professor G.S.Sapargaliyev, Candidate of Law, associate professor Aiyupova Z.K, Candidate of Law, associate professor Beibit M.S, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Taibakova S.T. and others.

The «Kazakh language and literature» chair is one of the fundamental and oldest staff of AbaiKazNPU for the preparation of philological and pedagogical specialists.
