Three Year Courses in Jewellery and Accessories Design (shoes and bags), handicrafts par excellence, accompanied by their strong symbolic value, the history of man from the origins. From talisman to the inescapable sign of power and wealth, from simple accessory to fetish, the jewel, the shoe and the bag have become cult objects that define the relations between the individual and the social sphere and the intimate relationship between the personal being and his or her putting himself or herself on stage in the theatre of life.

The three-year course of study in Jewelry Design is the only one of its kind in Italy. The course combines the typical experience of the artisan workshop, where student acquire the manual dexterity of master goldsmiths, with an in depth investigation of the theoretical and cultural elements.

Master the art of jewelry design in SCAD’s STEM-designated program. Work in a cutting-edge 13,800 sq. ft. studio, refine advanced techniques, and collaborate with industry leaders. Learn to conceptualize, create, and market your collections, positioning yourself as a designer, entrepreneur, or innovator.

The School of Jewelry & Metal Arts BFA program exposes students to an array of metal design principles and techniques. The curriculum covers sketching, color theory, soldering, stone-setting, welding, casting, mixed-media, enameling, digital techniques, and more.

In the Material Art & Design program, you will learn how to create jewellery, textiles and ceramics as a professional studio artist or designer.

Create and derive new ideas in the world of gems and precious metals, one of the emerging and promising occupations, to study systematic jewelry design, plan comprehensive products, and systematic academic research and development on natural and synthetic gems, specialized jewelry Introducing appraisal and distribution marketing to cultivate experts in jewelry and precious metals required by society.

This course mainly provides the study of jewelry molding progress in industries, the research of jewelry material, and mold making. The graduates will work on their own or work in government sectors dealing with jewelry design industrial, jewelry production, and Jewelry machine maintenance.

Metalsmithing & Jewelry can be as freely experimental as any art form. The workshop and studio experiences in this program emphasize design and craftsmanship.

The two-year BFA program offers a comprehensive grounding in contemporary jewelry and body ornament to those without prior experience or possession of jewelry-making skills in a relatively short time. The course begins with traditional techniques and skills in the construction and design of jewelry and then introduces the students to new technologies, creative use of resources, and material expression for originality in design.
