The Illustration Animation BA (Hons) - the UK's first degree in Illustration Animation - at Kingston School of Art combines narrative and time-based subjects to give the undergraduate complete creative freedom to engage in visual thinking, expression and communication.

Bachelor of Arts in Comics and Illustration is the curriculum of the Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design that prepares professionals to enter the world of comics and illustration and enables them to tell stories by giving shape to their own style and technique. Students acquire art skills such as composition, visual communication, inking, anatomy, and perspective.

The School of Illustration's BFA program embraces the art of visual and conceptual storytelling in any medium. Students develop the skills necessary to transform themselves into skilled, distinctive, professional illustrators able meet the marketplace’s growing need for artists trained in visual problem-solving in both traditional and digital media. Exciting career paths await in comics and graphic novels, children's books, advertising, editorial illustration, and interactive illustration.

You’ll be encouraged to express your individual artistic voice while examining the world we live in. You will work closely with faculty and practicing illustrators in traditional and digital techniques. This program will help you grasp communication art, while also learning the business skills required to work as independent freelancers. At the end of this four-year program, you will earn a Bachelor of Design degree.
