The Illustration program at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) combines the traditional arts such as painting, drawing, and printmaking with the fascination of contemporary design using modern, digital techniques. Illustrations visualize complex content in newspapers, magazines, infographics, advertisements, posters, websites, and apps. They tell stories in picture books and comics and create entire films or virtual worlds in storyboards and concept art.

On the BA (Hons) Illustration course, you will be given the freedom to explore personal expression through illustration. With the guidance of our expert teaching faculty, you will be shown how to use illustration to entertain, communicate, influence, inform and educate. Bring your ideas to life using various mediums such as pencils, paint, ink, moving image, animation, digital tools and more.

Bachelor of Arts in Comics and Illustration is the curriculum of the Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design that prepares professionals to enter the world of comics and illustration and enables them to tell stories by giving shape to their own style and technique. Students acquire art skills such as composition, visual communication, inking, anatomy, and perspective.

Bachelors in Graphic Design and/or Bachelors in Illustration The Bachelors in Graphic Design and/or Bachelors in Illustration are 3-year programs that prepares students for major professional work in the Visual Arts. The Illustration BA aims to provide an intellectual and creative space for students to explore and build skills in a range of traditional, digital and emerging image-making technologies.
