40 Human Rights Bachelors Degree Programs

The programme studies conflict and peace, peacebuilding, substainable development, socio-economic relationships, human rights and security.

Students in the Social Justice and Human Rights programs examine a wide variety of oppressions such as racism, sexism, heterosexism, anti-immigrant oppression, ableism, economic injustice, animal exploitation, and environmental injustice, as well as related denials of human rights, such as human trafficking, settler colonialism, mass incarceration, use of sweatshop and child labor, unequal access to education, and voter disenfranchisement.

The Human Rights programme provides you with an understanding of what human rights are and how they are interpreted and utilised legally, politically, and philosophically, as well as how the development of human rights is a result of ongoing global transformations. Human rights are grounded in the belief that all people are born free and are of equal moral worth, and should therefore have equal access to rights.

The Criminal Justice and Human Rights pathway leads to an LLB Law (Hons) with Criminal Justice and Human Rights. This programme gives you the opportunity to obtain specialist knowledge and deepen your understanding of criminal justice and human rights, and their challenging interactions.

The Bachelor of Arts in International Relations: Human Rights offers the student a modern and interdisciplinary education in international relations with a concentration in human rights. Graduates receive a globally recognized degree, accredited in the US and EU, and earn it in three years instead of four.

Our Bachelor’s International Social Work (ISW) program offers students the expertise to become social workers without borders. Placing emphasis on our global interconnectedness, students get a chance to explore local social problems from global perspectives, while also appreciating their local context. Our students learn to connect and empower individuals, groups and communities. We address current social issues, such as migration and refugees, sustainability, child protection, human rights and social development.
