Upon successful completion of the study program, students receive an international private Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Global Economics degree, awarded by the school's headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, based on the recommendation of the faculty from the local campuses where credits were earned.

Within the major of Global Business and Economics, the course offerings allow students to choose between a more applied (Global Business) emphasis and a more social-science oriented (Economics) emphasis. Both are embedded in a liberal arts approach that stresses the humane point of view, criticality, social responsibility, and intellectual depth. Students take a minimum number of foundation courses in both business and economics, so as to acquire a good grounding in basic theory and knowledge of the real world, before they go on to build, with much flexibility, a major most suited to their individual interests and possible career inclinations.

Ever since the founding of the University in 1965, the Faculty of Economics, taking full advantage of its close relationship with the business community has consistently functioned to conduct economic research in general, with emphasis on distribution, and meeting the social needs by training well-educated persons. The Faculty of Economics consists of two departments: the Department of Economics and the Department of Business Administration. The Faculty aims at training well-educated persons with broad global perspectives and shrewd information processing capacity founded on the solid basis of specialized knowledge. The Department of Economics is dedicated to training generalists with a broad understanding of economics. To that end, it offers an educational experience that emphasizes knowledge of the discipline of economics and logical thinking skills. Its curriculum is characterized by three courses that have been designed to accommodate studentsʼ various personalities and future goals. Students undertake a deep study of subjects such as economic theory and application, methods for analyzing economic data, recent economic conditions, and the historical development of the economy in line with the theme of the course they have chosen. All courses draw on the latest research findings in the field and incorporate content that is relevant to contemporary society. Small-group seminars are another aspect of the Departmentʼs appeal. In such seminars, students hone their problem-solving skills by analyzing and examining topics they have chosen themselves while receiving attentive instruction from their instructors.

Economics has become a universal language to describe and analyze a vast range of human interactions, from individual and household decisions such as consumption, marriage and education, to development and economic growth of countries. Interdisciplinary integration is implemented in the Department of International Political Science and Economics at the Faculty of International Political Science and Economics beyond the framework of traditional departments of politics and economics or existing fields of academic studies.

The Department of International Economics offers a group of subjects that introduce the economic situations of various countries and regions from a wide perspective, including their social systems, and another group of subjects showing how people, goods, and money move among nations from a theoretical perspective. Studying these subjects will allow students to effectively acquire comprehensive insight into international and domestic economies. Also, in the Fundamental Exercise Course in the freshman and sophomore years, and in the Exercise Course in the junior and senior years, students cultivate a method of thinking in regards to economics and a wide perspective that is applicable in the international arena. Further, the Department offers a group of subjects that improve English communication abilities in business situations and supports foreign exchange programs to utilize the acquired knowledge on economy and communication abilities.
