No longer designing courses with the help of traditional plan of design education, we prioritize instead on the cultivation of the professional talents equipping with the indispensable elements for multi-dimensional thinking as below: “the strategy in design”, “the comprehensive services in design” and “the professional esprit in work place”.

In 1992, UN claimed that all nations in the world should move to sustainable development in the 21st Century by being friendly to the living environment, this main stream pushes the concept of green living becoming more popular nowadays. Thus, this bachelor program achieves to practically launch the idea of green supply chain: from the green design, green production, to the green markets, services and green management. These efforts will achieve the goal of green living.

Fo Guang University is a university founded by Master Fo Guang Shan Xingyun. It is also the first university in Lanyang. The campus is located on the hill of Linmei Village, Jiaoxi Township, Yilan County. It is about 430 meters above sea level, from which you can have a broad bird's eye view. The Lanyang Plain and Guishan Island hanging in the open sea. The lab is used for the students to practice their skills in designing digital circuit systems. It is also used for internship courses. The lab is under the EDA/SOPC cooperation plan with ALTERA, established a common laboratory, which the dept. has been supported by the industry, such as FPGA, EDA, and SOPC.
