Bachelors in Nanotechnology is one of the youngest and most significantly developing scientific disciplines of the 21st century. VŠB-TUO offers the study of this interesting field in a bachelor´s study. The program of study has interdisciplinary character and provides theoretical knowledge of physics and chemistry. It is focused on the study of the structure, properties of nanomaterials and their preparation. The graduate has wide range of employment in laboratories and operations of industrial enterprises that deal with modern materials. At the same time, the graduate can continue in follow up master degree program and thus deepen his knowledge and skills.

Bachelors in Electrical Engineering aim of the study of the three-year bachelor's program in Electrical Engineering is to educate bachelor as a university-educated operational specialist in all areas of electrical engineering and at the same time to prepare him for a follow-up master's degree.

Our Bachelor program Economics and Business Administration, major in Economics was opened in the academic year 2012/2013. We already have our first Alumni, who continue their study at Universities in the Czech Republic and all around Europe.

The bachelors in Applied Geology study program is a technically focused geological field that includes all areas of geological research and exploration activities. Professional education is focused on the education of an operational geologist, for whom the scientific and technical basis will enable rapid professional adaptability to related and interdisciplinary fields.

Bachelors in Business Administration great managers are familiar with the business environment, understand business processes, and are professionals in their field. Graduates of the Business Administration programme understand the functioning of a business, from its foundation, through management, sustainability, and project management, including the evaluation and interpretation of the statistical, and other business data.

Bachelors in Civil Engineering (Building Materials and Diagnostics of Structures) Graduate of the bachelor's program with a specialization in Building Materials and Diagnostics of Structures will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in a variety of study activities including excursions, field lessons, realization of testing methods by modern equipment and also theoretical lessons with the participation of practice expert.

Bachelors in Mining of Mineral Resources If we want to keep using light and heating and to build, we need to continue extracting mineral resources. If we want to accelerate transport, we need to dig tunnels. If we want water, we need to sink wells. For all these reasons, we need professionals who will know what to do. No way we ignore the environment.

Bachelors in Civil Engineering (Building Environment) Within the specialization of Building Environment of the study program of Civil Engineering, students are prepared for application in the area of designing and realization of technical equipment of buildings (sanitary, heating, ventilation, gas distribution, electrical installation) in residential, civil, industrial and agricultural buildings and in areas of energy performance of buildings focusing on the application of alternative and renewable energy sources in buildings.

Bachelors in Civil Engineering (Transport Constructions) Within the bachelor study program in Civil Engineering, specialization in Transport Construction, the students are trained to apply in the field of transport structures in a wide range of activities in the design, construction, maintenance, and administration of transport structures and constructions (roads, motorways, bridges, urban roads, intersections, stations and industrial trucks, public transport constructions, etc.). In the field of traffic engineering, students focus on building safety elements, elements of traffic control and traffic management, traffic modeling and simulation, etc. Graduates of this specialization may continue in the follow-up master´s degree program in Civil Engineering - Transport Construction.

Bachelors in Civil Engineering (Geotechnics and Underground Engineering) basic aim of the specialization study - Geotechnics and Underground Engineering is the complex education and training of specialists and the achievement of the level of bachelor education, which will ensure the effective use of acquired knowledge especially in the field of geotechnical, underground and mining construction, foundation engineering, but also in the field of environmental and energy geotechnics.

The Economics and Management Bachelors program provides students with advanced theoretical knowledge in the area of general economics and management theory.

Bachelor study at the Faculty of Economics, VŠB-TU Ostrava takes three years. It is completed by taking the state bachelor exam and defending the bachelor thesis. Successful graduates are awarded the Bachelor's degree - Bc. After completing the bachelor's degree program in Finance, graduates may continue their studies in the Master's degree program in Finance, or choose from other economic-oriented programs with economic orientation at this level of study.

The Systems Engineering and Informatics Bachelors program provides students with extensive theoretical knowledge in mathematics, statistics, operation and system analysis, system theory and modelling of technical, economical and social systems, information technologies and information engineering.

As a graduate of the Mineral Economics study program, you will be employed in the positions of managers and commodity traders in industrial enterprises and the financial sector. You can become an official in the state administration and local government or thanks to the acquired knowledge and skills, you can go into business.
